“So,I Shot Them”

A weekly obsession of the strangers that I’ve met in London from 12 November to 21 January 2019.

Faces flash across the streets of our everyday lives yet we live in an era where human interactions happens only on wifi. We seem to be confined by our personal boundaries that separate actual physical connection. In our world where antagonists exist, we often find ourselves withholding information when speaking with strangers. Our growing suspicions makes it ever more difficult to achieve an utopian society.
Estrangement is inevitable. Our society is constructed upon stereotypes. Men are seen as dominant and have strong character, whereas women are seen as reserved and vulnerable. These stereotypes affects our response to a stranger on the street. We judge people before we even speak, which is our innate way characterising and understanding our world.
eg. a salesman on the streets, a homeless woman asking for money. Just like a memory, photographs brings back the past and inspire the future. Do we truly exist? Are we bounded by the evidence of our existence?
